The Sleep Over Pillowcase
I have drooled over the tutorial for this sleepover pillowcase for long enough.  Lindsay at http://www.thecottagehome.blogspot.com/ has outlined an easy, adorable tutorial for this pillowcase.
Since my niece was going to sleep away camp I had the perfect reason to make one.  I gathered some Amy Butler fabric that screamed "Baily", a coordinating green and some irresistable ribbon and got to work.  The pillowcase came together in about an hour.   I ironed some wonder under to a 12x12" piece of  the Disco fabric and cut out her name with my Cricut.  After ironing the letters in place I stitched around them with a zigzag but had to redo then redo again since my curves just didn't look right.  Just to let you know, I used Wonder Tape to hold the ribbon in place rather than pins and it was a dream to work with.  It saved me time placing and removing pins and dissolved effortlessly in the wash.  Thanks for the tip Lindsay!!!http://thecottagehome.blogspot.com/2010/05/sleepover-pillowcase-tutorial.html

Crayon Holster Sash

I saw this very cool crayon holder online and just had to give it a try!  Well it was easier than I expected even though I made my own bias tape.  Josh sure loves it and now Cammie wants one (except in girl colors).

Kindergarten Thanksgiving Feast

Ahh the wonder and magic of the holiday season has begun!  Joshua had a wonderful time earning feathers for his indian hat, decorating his shirt and making his bead necklace.  His indian name Quiet Storm was well chosen by Ms. Amy and the class. I miss the days when Cammie was this age but my big girl is growing up.  3rd grade got to eat lunch in their room and decorate firetruck cookies.  Being room mom for Joshua this year I missed her party but she had a blast!!!

My Etsy Shop is Open!!!

It's finally here!  I've posted a few items on my Etsy shop www.cammielalmb.etsy.com .  Just click on the blue Etsy button to the right of this post to go directly to my shop.  Here are a few of the things available.  Tissue holders, iPod or Camera holders and Crayon Holders.

Etsy is a website that supports people who wish to sell handmade or vintage items.  Rather than make your own website up from scratch you can pay etsy a small fee and they offer a very easy format to list and sell your items. I love the fact that it only allows handmade or vintage.  As an etsy shopper I can tell you that you definitely won't find things they offer in department stores. Handmade and vintage things hold a special  charm for me and seem to have a little extra something when giftgiving.  Give the site a chance this shopping season and see what you can find.

How to make a Pilgrim Bonnet out of paper

I am thinking these would be cute at the kids table for Thanksgiving! It could be a simple craft before eating or just have them ready made sitting at each place. I'll have to make the hat for boys later!

Spencer Auto Repair Now Selling Cammielamb Goodies

My incredibly sweet brother in-law Tommy Spencer has some of my products available in the lobby of his business Spencer Auto Repair at 5403 Pleasant View Memphis, Tennessee 38134 (901)383-2681
Yes, he is a very respectable and talented mechanic.  The kind of man that I, as a woman, would never worry about taking advantage of my limited/non-existent knowledge of all things mechanical.  The Memphis Zoo even employs him to work on all the trams and the train you can ride in the farm area.  Check him out at http://www.spencerautorepair.com/ or on facebook.
Please visit him for an oil change, tire rotation or anything your vehicle may need.  You could even shop a little of my Cammielamb line.
